What to Expect
Dr. Tsutsumi begins with an enhanced diagnostic interview with a focus on screening for nearly all possible psychiatric diagnoses.
The intake is performed before a treatment plan is created to formulate a plan of care that is specifically targeted to you.
Following the intake, Dr. Tsutsumi will give an approximation of session frequency to expect. Any diagnosis requiring a higher level of care (ie inpatient level of treatment or an intensive outpatient clinic) or outside of Dr. Tsutsumi’s area of expertise, will not be able to be taken long term in Dr. Tsutsumi’s practice.
Those who would not be appropriate for outpatient level of care are those who require more intensive treatment (ie eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, ARFID, and Bulimia Nervosa where symptoms are in the severe range).
In limited instances where Dr. Tsutsumi determines the patient requires more intensive treatment than outpatient, she will make every effort to develop an appropriate treatment plan to guide the patient towards receiving the appropriate care.
